Looking for a soap product that not only moisturizes, is full of benefits, and makes your skin look and feel amazing? Then try goat milk soap. Why goat milk soap? Well, the benefits are numerous.
The search for a good soap that hydrates and protects your skin can be daunting and relentless. According to the FDA, many of the soaps on the market today do not contain natural soap ingredients. They are actually considered detergents due to the manufacturing process commercial companies utilize, removing all of the beneficial elements of real soap. Almost all of my customers have come to me looking for a quality product that strengthens and nourishes their skin. After one bar of goat milk soap, they’re hooked.
Goat milk soap hydrates and reduces inflammation in the skin.
Goat milk has been known for its numerous benefits for centuries. For one, it is full of fat, more fat than cow’s milk. These fat cells are small and naturally homogenized. Because of its high fat content, goat milk soap has natural hydrating and nourishing properties. This is because the fat content helps to reduce skin inflammation and soothes dry and damaged skin. Nourished and hydrated skin makes for happier skin that can better protect the body while looking healthy and radiant at the same time.
It is an exfoliant.
Goat milk contains alpha hydroxyl acids (AHAs), such as lactic acid, which aids the removal of dead skin cells by breaking down the bonds that cause the dead cells to stick together. By removing this top layer of dead skin cells, the resulting skin underneath will have an even complexion, looking younger and brighter. In addition, this may soften fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a smoother and radiant appearance.
It is vitamin and nutrient rich.
Goat milk is full of vitamins, such as vitamins A, B2, C, and E. Vitamin A is known for its ability to stimulate skin cell production, rejuvenating the skin and giving it a youthful appearance. Vitamin B2 helps maintain healthy cell turnover for a bright and radiant complexion. Vitamin C has been shown to prevent sun damage in the skin. And lastly, Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps to soften skin and reduce scarring and hyperpigmentation.
Collectively, these vitamins are essential for fighting wrinkles and minimizing fine lines in the skin. They help enrich and strengthen the skin, which is important since skin is the body’s largest first line of defense.
It can help treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Switching to goat milk soap can truly benefit your skin especially if you suffer from a skin condition or have sensitive skin. Many commercial soaps contain additive ingredients that do more harm than good and exacerbate symptoms of dry and sensitive skin. Hand-crafted soap is produced with all-natural ingredients such as olive, coconut, sweet almond, avocado, caster oil, and shea butter. These natural ingredients can help soothe the symptoms of dry, sensitive skin while strengthening and nourishing problematic skin simultaneously.
Furthermore, goat milk is an effective treatment for acne and other skin issues like psoriasis because of its proteins. The antibacterial properties from the proteins help kill the bacteria that causes acne.
It can help maintain pH balance in the skin.
Goat milk soap contains an alkaline substance called caprylic acid. This alkalinity causes the soap to have a low pH, closer to the pH of skin. This similarity in pH allows the vitamins and nutrients to be absorbed into the skin more easily. In addition, this pH balance can prevent dryness and keep the skin hydrated.
Because commercial soaps are stripped of natural fats and alkaline substances, they usually contain free alkali in order to increase their shelf life and lather. However, free alkali can cause commercial soaps to be harsh and drying, exacerbating skin conditions and symptoms of dry, sensitive skin.
It is additive and preservative free.
Many soaps on the market today are full of preservatives and additives to enable the soap to last longer when wet. Unfortunately, these additives can be detrimental to your skin, causing inflammation and worsening conditions such as psoriasis, rosacea, acne, eczema, and sensitive skin. Goat milk soap does not contain alcohol, petroleum, or other preservatives which can all irritate the skin.
Even with all of the benefits listed above, most people find it hard to switch to a natural, organic soap due to costs and availability. My advice: take care of your skin and choose healthy options. Your skin is your largest organ, so please be good to it.

This couldn’t be more true! I’ve suffered from eczema most of my life and I haven’t been able to use scented soaps. They cause my skin to break out in an eczema rash so bad making me itch all over. I switch to goat milk soap just over 2 years ago and… no more rash! No more eczema either! It’s been a godsend. I also used it during my pregnancy which kept stretch marks to a minimum. I think that was just an added benefit because its so hydrating. I’ll never go back to using soap from the store!
