It isn’t the farm that makes the farmer – it’s the love, hard work and character.

When Brad and I moved to our farm in November of 2014, we came with four horses, five chickens, four dogs and one cat. Most importantly we knew nothing about owning a farm. Each year, we look around our farm and think about what we need to accomplish next. Do we need to add a garden? How can we make money from our goats and sheep? What can we do with our chicken eggs? How can we maintain our equipment and tractor ourselves?
We have grown significantly over the last few years. As of 2019, we currently have: three horses and one mini, three pot belly pigs, five hair sheep, nineteen goats, five cats, eight dogs, six ducks and over a dozen chickens. We still have a lot to learn but with each new year, we set a goal to educate ourselves on something new. We appreciate our farm life and reap the many benefits of living in the country. We have a healthier immune system, better mental health, and are becoming physically fit with our active lifestyle. Each day we enjoy the present moment.
Here at Hazel Green Farms, we strive to find the beauty in the things around us and live in the moment each and every day. We work to incorporate sustainable practices throughout our homestead so that we are more reliant on ourselves than others. We enjoy the beauty of nature and encourage others to do the same.
Our mission is simple. We strive to provide high quality soaps, ointments, lotions, and other products from whole, organic goat milk and natural, organic ingredients year round. From breeding and milking our goats to the production of our handmade goat milk products, everything is done ourselves. To us, quality is more important than quantity.
All of our animals are treated with dignity and respect, and receive the appropriate love, attention, and care at all times, and when necessary are provided veterinary care. We take great pride in the care of our animals and ensure their needs are always met.
